“Lord Nicholas is a paragon of manhood. And his eyes, Dear Reader! So blue!” Pearls & Pelisses, June 1823
Since being named on of London’s “Lords to Land” by a popular ladies’ magazine, Nicholas St. John has been relentlessly pursued by every matrimony-minded female in the ton. So when an opportunity to escape fashionable society presents itself, he eagerly jumps—only to land in the path of the most determined, damnably delicious woman he’s ever met!
The daughter of a titled wastrel, Lady Isabel Townsend has too many secrets and too little money. Though used to taking care of herself quite handily, her father’s recent passing has left Isabel at sea and in need of outside help to protect her young brother’s birthright. The sinfully handsome, eminently eligible Lord Nicholas could be the very salvation she seeks.
But the lady must be wary and not do anything reckless…like falling madly, passionately in love.
After reading Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake, I was very excited to start the next installment in the series. What I didn’t know is that the series followed the same characters with each book, and finding Nicholas St John as the star in this one, made me quite excited. Ten Ways to Be Adored When Landing a Lord by Sarah MacLean is another spectacular read by this talented lady.
Ten Ways to Be Adored When Landing a Lord‘s main character, Isabel, was such a strong character. I really give kudos to Sarah MacLean for having such a strong heroine. I just love Nicholas as a character – he was one of my favorite characters, if not my favorite character in Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake.
I loved the quirkiness of the Ten Ways to Be Adored When Landing a Lord‘s story. It was so fun to get caught up in, and it was entirely unique. And plus, the romance in this one is quite steamy.Ten Ways to Be Adored When Landing a Lord had a bit of a sameness to the feel of Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake.
I had a ton of work to be doing, and I made the mistake of starting this book. Once I started Ten Ways to Be Adored When Landing a Lord there was no putting it down, and I stayed up late into the night to finish. This one is another fabulous Sarah MacLean read, and I cannot wait to finish the series with Eleven Scandals to Win a Duke’s Heart.
