Aura’s life is anything but easy. Her boyfriend, Logan, died, and his slides between ghost and shade have left her reeling. Aura knows he needs her now more than ever. She loves Logan, but she can’t deny her connection with the totally supportive, totally gorgeous Zachary. And she’s not sure that she wants to. Logan and Zachary will fight to be the one by her side, but Aura needs them both to uncover the mystery of her past—the mystery of the Shift. As Aura’s search uncovers new truths, she must decide whom to trust with her secrets…and her heart.
Shift was a really great read. It picks up right where Shade left off, and the story takes off at a magnificent speed. Filled with the characters I fell in love with, I got to watch the plot thicken and much more happen in this fascinating world.
I loved the plot. The entire idea that had me captivated in Shade only gets bigger and better. The one thing I didn’t like in Shift was the game playing and antics between Zachary and Aura. A little of it was fine, but after awhile I was just wanting to yell at them to get over it already. The ending was one of the most adorable moments ever – it was so heartwarming.
I really like the characters in this series. While some have their moments where I am not crazy about them, they definiately all have their charm. I really like Zachary – I can’t help it. Eowyn is a character that I love every scene she is in – I am very curious to see how her role develops in the next book.
I am simply dying for Shine. The wait for its release date will be a long one indeed. With the build up Jeri Smith-Ready has provided, I have a feeling that Shine will simply blow the roofs off both Shift and Shade. I really like the cover – I think it is stunning.
Shift was an absolutely wonderful read. While I don’t think it quite lived up to my love of Shade, it comes pretty darn close. Shift is just as face paced as Shade, and takes readers on one heck of a journey.
Here’s the trailer for the series, isn’t it purdy?
You can find out more info about Shade at the book’s site.
I also have ONE Shift prize pack to giveaway to someone in the US or Canada. It will include
